Today is Superbowl Sunday. Of all the years for my team, in any sport, to get this far… this year seems most appropriate. So many things to celebrate. My twenty third birthday is in less than two months. My sister’s twenty first is in July. And most importantly, I will be getting out of the Marine Corps on Tuesday. Now anybody who may read this, not knowing a thing about the military, may be a little confused about the phrase “getting out”. Well I will be straight forward. It is said this way most commonly because being in the Marine Corps is a lot like being in the mob. Don’t get me wrong. It is nothing like a close nit family. It is the fact that once your in it is incredibly hard to get out. More on this later.
